FROM TODI
TO GIN TODI
It all started from the love for Umbria and living surrounded by wonderful vegetation, including the Juniper plants full of berries that stand out. The interests of two friends met and gave birth to a perfumed and fascinating gin, paying homage to the city where they reside. The pleasure of offering their guests something unique was the first step towards creating Gin Todi. The best Italian Juniper together with a selection of handpicked wild botanicals are the ingredients in the recipe that the master distiller skillfully created. The artisanal soul of Gin Todi is reflected in its blend. The flavors of Rosaspina and Susino “coscia di monaca” create a fresh and delicate taste that balances the Juniper’s imprint. The leaves of the Moraiolo olive add a harmonious and persistent note to the gin, making it entirely original.
GIN TODI
COCOA
If Gin Todi with its botanicals is a tribute to the Umbrian land, Gin Todi with cocoa beans is to the creativity of an Umbrian woman who founded Perugina in the early 20th century and invented the ‘Bacio’ chocolate.
Gin Todi Cocoa is a refined distillate that wins you over with its unique and original composition.
The distinguishing element of this blend are the fine single-origin cocoa beans from Central and South America, which impart a rich cocoa depth and pleasant bitterness.
The traditional botanicals of Gin Todi, such as Hop, Cassella, Crespigno and Rosehip are combined with ingredients such as Almonds and Hazelnuts. These dried fruits give the gin roundness and smoothness. The new harmonious flavour profile makes Gin Todi Cocoa perfect for new taste explorations
DESIGN AND SUSTAINABILITY
The letters that make up the Gin Todi brand were designed by breaking down the geometric structure of the rose window of the Todi Cathedral. Thus, a new typographic font was created where its signs become shapes, images that possess and convey a story. The tradition of the city of Todi and the creation of the new gin are reflected in this graphic sign, which is reinterpreted in light of innovation and design. Environmental respect is also demonstrated by the choice of packaging with a screen-printed glass bottle and a wooden cap.
ART OF DISTILLING
The goodness of Gin Todi is aided by one of the oldest Italian distilleries with its restored discontinuous bain-marie still.
This very long and delicate distillation process allows not only the best flavor of the botanicals used, with a call to undergrowth scents but also to preserve their aroma.
The tradition of medieval Umbrian herbs is thus re-proposed in a selected set in which wild Hops, Ginestrella, Crespigno, and Cassella stand out.
